Though I can’t relate to your feelings of body dysmorphia, I’m female inside and out, it isn’t a stretch to understand the sense of not fitting in. It doesn’t matter what the parameters are, our lives belong to us and we’re entitled to our peace of mind and feeling of belonging and acceptance. We’re even entitled to accept what’s wrong with us and fix it. That’s why we go to school, to enhance our knowledge, we go to therapy to repair our wounds, and you have made the adjustments (albeit huge ones) to repair an accident of birth that put your psyche in the wrong physical container. I hope you have many years of happiness and peace with your courageous decision.
