Thank you for this, Shanna. My wild hope is that by the time the pandemic is over, we will have had an awakening in this country and you will feel as comfortable as you wish, as you should. It certainly is time. If we learn nothing else from this virus it should be that life is too short for pecking orders, arrogance, random cruelty, and exclusion. We’re in this life together. Gasping for breath, for help to stay alive in an ER should teach us that. Very powerful writing.
