Read Olena’s Note Asking You To Keep Buying Ukrainian Knitting Patterns.

One of my articles asking for donations for Ukrainian knitting designers featured the Cool Cardi designed by Olena Tytlarenko.

When I first wrote about Olena, she hadn’t posted about the war.

Today I decided to check on the women I wrote about to see if any of them had left messages for the knitting community.

Here you can see that Olena is asking for continued support. She has had to leave Ukraine, and she may never see her country again.

But her note indicates what I know to be true; my posts to buy Ukrainian knitting patterns matter. Olena is asking for us to buy to support her. She has a long road ahead of her to make a new life out of Ukraine.

She and others can still obtain funds from the sale of patterns through the Ravelry downloads and every penny counts.

So please continue to search on sites such as Ravelry.com and Etsy.com and any others you know of to send money directly to individuals like Olena, as well as larger donations to aid organizations.
