My daughter’s father and I lived with her for seven years, then shared the parenting. It’s all hard, all wonderful. I’ve yet to read of an easy parenting path. Or a best one. You can have two shitty parents who stay together and ruin a child. Being a loving, caring parent is the goal regardless of the number of adults in the household. My former husband and I split up but he remained a loving father. Sounds like you’re on the best possible track. Good luck. You’re son certainly has it in abundance.
