For a little perspective, fifty years ago as a single mother I complained that a male coworker who did the same job I did, was paid more. I had more seniority, yet I was told, look, what do you expect? He’s a man. He was also younger, had less experience, and I was working two jobs as a single mother. I’m looking at the complaints women have today and many specifics have changed but the general argument is the same. Women don’t get equal pay, treatment, or respect for equal work. Just sayin’ in case anyone thinks this is a new problem. But back in the day, we didn’t have Medium.
